i-CHoose for new concepts. i-Design for existing projects.
Choose a tool suitable for the project and preserve file compatibility. We help translate machine requirements into a circuit and manifold solution.
What has changed in the manufacturer's tools?
Bosch Rexroth and HydraForce launched i-CHoose as a shared design environment for compact hydraulics. It combines component libraries with 2D/3D solution development.
According to the manufacturer, i-CHoose does not open files from the older i-Design and CHoose programmes. Existing projects require the appropriate environment. Check installation and access details on the manufacturer's website.
What should you prepare before starting a project?
Describe the machine functions
Cylinder and motor movements, operating sequence, loads and functions that may operate simultaneously.
Define operating limits
Pressures, flows, temperatures, fluid and duty cycle. Identify values that still need to be measured.
Define the interfaces
Ports, mounting, available space, power supply and control method.
Agree the documentation scope
The circuit, bill of materials, manifold design, controls and test scope are tailored to the project.
Older i-Design examples
These files come from the existing Salus library. They are examples, not approved designs for use in any machine.

Have an older project file? Preserve the original. Also send any circuit PDF, valve list and software version so we can establish how to continue.
