Coil and controller selection, step by step
How to gather information and distinguish similar versions.
We assess the hydraulic and electrical components as an assembly: coil fit, power supply, connector, control signal and system behaviour after loss of power.
| Component | What we compare |
|---|---|
| Valve | Hydraulic function, actuation version, characteristics and permitted operating conditions. |
| Coil | Part number, mounting dimensions, rated voltage or current, connector and environmental conditions. |
| Controller | Output type, current range, channel count, inputs and communication interface. |
| Machine | Power supply, command signals, interlocks, diagnostics and the system's required safe state. |
HF-Impulse is the manufacturer's tool for supported controllers. Check the software version, device and connection method before starting configuration.
Controllers do not all use the same software or cable. We establish the complete device designation and firmware version before sending a configuration file.
We need the valve code and coil number. A rating of 12 V or 24 V alone does not identify the correct version. Photographs of the connector and mounting dimensions help if the label is illegible.
The index also contains older coil numbers. If a shop page identifies a newer version, confirm its compatibility with your valve and installation before ordering.
We retain ECDR and EVDR documents, example configurations and videos from the previous website. They help identify older equipment but do not confirm compatibility with every current hardware and software version.

Documentation, example configurations and older training materials.
Prepare the valve, coil and controller designations and a description of the machine.
